The theme of this week is 'Special Occasions' - so expect loads of Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings, Holidays and the like. There will be all the usual features including Pen's Featured Album, her Movie and Rock Picks, Doc's Ladies, What's Your Style?, Baron's Blockbusters, Rob's Sizzlers, Office Fairy Tales, All That Jazz-Fusion and Pen's Song Of The Week. We will have our usual Classical play-out and this week we have Mendelssohn's Wedding March from A Midsummer Nights Dream and Faure's Dolly Suite.

 

There will be plenty of rock tracks from the likes of Marillion, Leaves Eyes, Robert Plant, Status Quo, In This Moment, Molly Hatchet, Uriah Heep, Girlschool, Humble Pie and Green Day. And plenty of blues, soft rock, pop and jazz -fusion from the likes of Billie Holiday, Etta James, Madonna, Sky, UB40, U2, David Bowie, Spyro Gyra, Miles Davis and Weather Report. And in the Chuckle Challenge we have Spitting Image, Tommy Cooper, The Big Bopper, Paul Shane and Mike Harding.

The Chuckle Challenge will have Ronnie Barker, Sheb Wooley and the original cast of The Rocky Horror Show,to amuse you. The Classical Finale will be a selection of tracks from the soundtrack of Phantom of the Opera. There will be the usual eclectic mix of music with plenty of rock, blues, country, pop and jazz-rock fusion from the likes of Alice Cooper, Rainbow, Biffy Clyro, Chris Rea, Bigfoot, Within Temptation, Chantel McGregor, Stevie Nicks, Brantley Gilbert, Carlos Santana & Buddy Miles, Bruford Levin, Gong etc.
