This week we have a theme based on the play ‘The Magnificent One’ written by our very own International Man of Mystery (aka Dave). So, expect plenty of suitably themed songs throughout the show about Cowboys, Outlaws, Mysterious Strangers, Disguises etc.
This week Pen’s Featured Album is Bob Seger’s Stranger in Town. Ann’s Men of the Week are John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett and her Formative Years comes from The Byrds. In What’s Your Style we will have Blues, Country, Skiffle and Classic Rock. There are 4 excellent tracks for Pen’s Rock Picks and, there are 3 in her Chill Out Zone. There will be all the other usual features (see Pen’s poster, below) and, as ever, our normal eclectic mix of music. There will be music from Wishbone Ash, Alter Bridge, Blackberry Smoke, Chuck Berry, Placebo, Neil Young, America, Jo Stafford, Dylan, Johnny Cash, Frankie Lane, Samantha Fish, Kaz Hawkins, Pat Benatar and many more.
The show will finish with a bit of classical therapy with Walter Piston’s ‘Mountain’ from his Three New England Sketches.
Hope to see you at 3.00 pm on Thursday.
