The theme of this week is 'Rocks and Minerals' - so expect loads of tracks/artists about diamonds, rubies, emeralds etc. There will be all the usual features including Pen's Featured Album, her Movie and Rock Picks, Doc's Ladies, What's Your Style?, Baron's Blockbusters, Rob's Sizzlers, Office Fairy Tales and the Pen's Song Of The Week. We will have our usual Classical play-out and this week we have the 3rd Movement from Jon Lord's Concerto For Group and Orchestra. There will be plenty of hard rock tracks from the likes of Iron Maiden, Rainbow, Kiss, Leaves Eyes, Shinedown and Within Temptation. And plenty of soft rock, blues and pop from the likes of The Beatles, Ruby Turner, Elkie Brooks, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Elton John, Kaiser Chiefs and Lee Dorsey. We have an expanded Chuckle Challenge this week with tracks from The Goons, Barron Knights, William Shatner, Billy Connolly, The Goodies and Peter Sellers.
Hope you can join us at 2 pm on Thursday, Drivers/Gangsters - we is gonna have a blast with the usual eclectic mix of tunes and loads of great humour, that's for sure.
