Comment Here For Drive With Doc and the Gang for 28th February

The theme of this week is 'Rocks and Minerals' - so expect loads of tracks/artists about diamonds, rubies, emeralds etc. There will be all the usual features including Pen's Featured Album, her Movie and Rock Picks, Doc's Ladies, What's Your Style?, Baron's Blockbusters, Rob's Sizzlers, Office Fairy Tales and the Pen's Song Of The Week. We will have our usual Classical play-out and this week we have the 3rd Movement from Jon Lord's Concerto For Group and Orchestra. There will be plenty of hard rock tracks from the likes of Iron Maiden, Rainbow, Kiss, Leaves Eyes, Shinedown and Within Temptation. And plenty of soft rock, blues and pop from the likes of The Beatles, Ruby Turner, Elkie Brooks, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Elton John, Kaiser Chiefs and Lee Dorsey. We have an expanded Chuckle Challenge this week with tracks from The Goons, Barron Knights, William Shatner, Billy Connolly, The Goodies and Peter Sellers.

  • The theme of this week's show is Autumn & Winter - well it has turned a lot cooler these last few weeks hasn't it? So expect loads of songs with a true seasonal feel to them. There will be all the usual features including Pen's Featured Album, her Movie and Rock Picks, What's Your Style?, Doc's Formative Years, Baron's Blockbusters, Rob's Sizzlers, It Runs In The Family, Doc's Ladies, Dame Pen's Chill Zone and All That Jazz-Rock-Fusion. The Chuckle Challenge will have The Goons, The Barron Knights, Gene Simmons and Heavy Metal Xmas to amuse you. The Classical Finale will be a double-header with Vivaldi's Autumn and Winter. There will be all the usual features including Pen's Featured Album, her Movie and Rock Picks, What's Your Style?, Doc's Formative Years, Baron's Blockbusters, Rob's Sizzlers, It Runs In The Family (the new name for Caroline's Crackers), Doc's Ladies, Dame Pen's Chill Zone and All That Jazz-Rock-Fusion. The Chuckle Challenge will have Ronnie Barker, Sheb Wooley and the original cast of The Rocky Horror Show,to amuse you. The Classical Finale will be a selection of tracks from the soundtrack of Phantom of the Opera. There will be the usual eclectic mix of music with plenty of rock, blues, country, pop and jazz-rock fusion from the likes of Alice Cooper, Rainbow, Biffy Clyro, Chris Rea, Bigfoot, Within Temptation, Chantel McGregor, Stevie Nicks, Brantley Gilbert, Carlos Santana & Buddy Miles, Bruford Levin, Gong etc.
