COMMENT HERE FOR DRIVE WITH DOC AND THE GANG FOR 31st JANUARY 2019

The theme of the week is 'Cowboys and Indians'. There will be all the usual features including Pen's Movie and Rock Picks, Doc's Ladies, What's Your Style?, Baron's Blockbusters, Rob's Sizzlers, Office Fairy Tales and the Chuckle Challenge plus, for one week only, Doc's Featured Artist - Rory Gallagher. We will have our usual Classical play-out and this week we have 6 EPIC Western TV and Movie themes. There will be plenty of hard rock tracks from the likes of Bon Jovi, Blackfoot, Molly Hatchet, UFO, AC/DC, Pantera and Thin Lizzy. And plenty of soft rock, blues and pop from the likes of Anastacia, Johnny Cash, Eric Clapton, The Hollies, Pat Benatar, Squeeze and Dire Straits.

 

Hope you can join myself, Dame Pen, Darren The Baron, The Earl of Wigan and Cinders (and her ugly sister) at 2 pm prompt on Thursday.

  • The theme of this week's show is Autumn & Winter - well it has turned a lot cooler these last few weeks hasn't it? So expect loads of songs with a true seasonal feel to them. There will be all the usual features including Pen's Featured Album, her Movie and Rock Picks, What's Your Style?, Doc's Formative Years, Baron's Blockbusters, Rob's Sizzlers, It Runs In The Family, Doc's Ladies, Dame Pen's Chill Zone and All That Jazz-Rock-Fusion. The Chuckle Challenge will have The Goons, The Barron Knights, Gene Simmons and Heavy Metal Xmas to amuse you. The Classical Finale will be a double-header with Vivaldi's Autumn and Winter. The Chuckle Challenge will have Ronnie Barker, Sheb Wooley and the original cast of The Rocky Horror Show,to amuse you. The Classical Finale will be a selection of tracks from the soundtrack of Phantom of the Opera. There will be the usual eclectic mix of music with plenty of rock, blues, country, pop and jazz-rock fusion from the likes of Alice Cooper, Rainbow, Biffy Clyro, Chris Rea, Bigfoot, Within Temptation, Chantel McGregor, Stevie Nicks, Brantley Gilbert, Carlos Santana & Buddy Miles, Bruford Levin, Gong etc.
