As you all well know, Count Dracula came to England via a ship which docked at Whitby. Well, it is only a short distance to Goathland (sorry, Aidensfield) so it isn’t surprising to find vampires there, is it? Yep, you’ve guessed it, I am talking about Dave’s play which is called No Heartbeat!! So, expect plenty of suitably themed songs throughout the show about villages, pubs, cellars, garages, vampires, biting, blood etc.
This week Pen’s Featured Album is Out of The Cellar by Ratt. Ann’s Man of the Week is Dave Vanian (of The Damned) and her Formative Years comes from Ian Hunter. In What’s Your Style we will have Blues, Jazz Fusion, Punk and Prog-Rock - all within the theme of the week, of course. There are 4 excellent tracks for Pen’s Rock Picks and, there are 3 in her Chill Out Zone. There will be all the other usual features (see Pen’s poster, below) and, as ever, our normal eclectic mix of music. There will be music from Tina Turner, Big Joe Turner, Linkin Park, John Mayall, Alex Harvey, Robert Post, Bonnie Raitt, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Danielle Nicole, Iron Maiden, AC/DC Saxon, Deep Purple, Rebecca Downes, Rick Wakeman and many more.
The show will finish with a bit of classical therapy with the 3rd movement of Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 10 in A Flat major – another classic tune.

To kick us off at 3.00 pm we will have John Mayall with Cold Blooded Mama.
