As you all well know, Jumanji was a famous film about a board game where the characters were transported into the game and had to face real dangers and perils. So, what if this was set in the times of Oliver Twist? Yep, you’ve guessed it, I am talking about Dave’s play which is called Jumanjo!! So, expect plenty of suitably themed songs throughout the show about dice, games, jungle, dangers etc.
This week Pen’s Featured Album is The Game by Queen. Ann’s Man of the Week is Robert Palmer and her Formative Years comes from one of her fav’s – Steve Harley. In What’s Your Style we will have Blues-Rock, Jazz and Country- all within the theme of the week, of course. There are 4 excellent tracks for Pen’s Rock Picks and, there are 3 in her Chill Out Zone. There will be all the other usual features (see Pen’s poster, below) and, as ever, our normal eclectic mix of music. There will be music from Jethro Tull, Foreigner, The Searchers, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Niecie, Carolyn Wonderland, Samantha Fish, Shania Twain, The Rolling Stones, Buddy Holly, The Who, John Lennon, The Hollies, Uriah Heep, ELO, Eric Clapton and many more.
The show will finish with a bit of classical therapy with all 14 movements of Camille Saint-Saens’ Carnival Of The Animals – 21 minutes of pure pleasure.
