IT'S SHOW 450! And what better way to celebrate than by celebrating the man who set the format for rock shows to follow and who introduced me to pretty much most of my music. I speak of course about one Tommy Vance Esquire.
So, on the show this week:
7pm to 730pm: Some of the bands introduced to me by the Friday Rock Show
730pm to 930pm: The Friday Rock Show from 22nd May 1981, with sessions from Pink Floyd & Last Flight, plus Samson, Rainbow, Handsome Beasts (I'd forgot all about them!!!), Kiss, UFO, Fortress, Elton John, Blue Oyster Cult and The Friday Night Connection!
930pm to 10pm: Live at the BRS: 3 live songs from UFO, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Joe Bonamassa to finish the show.
Come and join the fun at 7pm on Wednesday 27th of October, only on REVOLUTIONONE.

Good night folks, with this microphone in hand I will keep rock alive!
Hey, I just found this, the ORIGINAL Barnsley Rock Show teaser....
Absolutely brilliant show this evening Baron, excellent music and entertainment as always mate.
Wednesday's wouldn't be the same without you.
Goodnight, take care and here's to shows 475 and 500 Darren.
Look after yourself and I will see you again tomorrow mate.
Take care Ladies and Gentlemen, I will see you all again tomorrow.
Goodnight everybody, look after yourselves everybody.
The Man, the legend.
That was bloody brilliant.
I wonder if Tommy ever played any Dangerous Age on his show ?
This might be another going in the Amazon basket!
If this is what Last Flight became, this is Bernie Marsden on guitars!
This is Alaska's Headlines.
I actually remember this song!!!!
I was thinking Tommy wouldn't get away with that lol.....and yes please bring the connection back x
Just topped up my double bourbon... this could get messy lol. But CHEERS!!!!
Can't even find a picture of these. :(
Should I bring back the Wednesday Night Connection?
You know, the sad thing is, PBL and PRS Licensing conditions would stop Tommy from doing this show today.
Summat to do with Zodiac
Oh I know these :)
Would be good if I knew what I was listening to lol
This piece of music defines Friday night's.
Oh oh! We're doomed!!!
CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNN!!!!
BLOODY VINYL HA HA
I have this picture disk still!
I found this album in a junk shop probably about 1975 and paid 50p for it. I have no idea where it is :(
I am adding bands into the Amazon basket as they play lol
ha ha, that moment you turn to the mic to start talking....
I mean, come on!!!
Hearing Tommy's voice reminds us of how lucky we are to have heard him and how much we miss him.
He set such high standards with regards to being a fantastic DJ.
