It's that time in the cycle of the show that I pay all due respect to the man who is my DJ hero, who introduced me to more of my music than anyone else, one Mister Tommy Vance, he of the Friday Rock Show from the 80s!
So the format of the show is:
7pm: Thirty minutes of music from bands that Tommy did a special announcement or feature on, including Deep Purple's Perfect Strangers, Magnum's Chase The Dragon and ASIA's debut album amongst others.
730pm: The entire Friday Rock Show from 15th August 1980, which features The Pretty Things, Pink Floyd, Rainbow, More, YES, Blue Oyster Cult, Roxy Music, Black Axe, Neil Young and more!
930pm: Magnum live from the Hammersmith gig that Tommy broadcast on the FRS on the Vigilante tour from March 13th 1987.
