I saw recently that a sort of second generation Allman Brothers Band will be touring in US this summer, Devon Allman and Duane Betts are getting together. Hope they come over here as well. They played one number together at Carlisle Blues Festival in 2013 while Devon was with Royal Southern Brotherhood and Duane was part of the Mississippi Mudbloods supporting Ian Siegal.
In addition to the awesome tracks that Derek has selected, it is a Slow Blues special - with all tracks picked for their mellowing effect. There will be tracks from The Bluesbones, Mick Taylor, Howlin Wolf, Detroit Blues Band, Dani Wilde, Muddy Waters, BB King, Elmore James, Cream, Joe Cocker, Snowy White and many more to chill out to. The Live At The Doc's Blues Bowl show finale will include Walter Trout, Fleetwood Mac and Van Morrison.

Not the right album cover but such a cool image.
The Blues are so fitting as a platform for classic ballads.
Thorbjorn Risager & Black Tornado at Carlisle Blues Festival this year. Best band on this year in my opinion.
Not much chance of dislodging Derek Trucks though! LOL.
