The TWS Max format is upon us, with a new rockier format AND a beefed up Zone. Part of the 2020 "More of Everything" plans for RRO, we (aka Dee, Lady Black & myself) decided to change the format to reflect the fact that Jazz-Rock Fusion is now getting its own show (with Doc and me, monthly to start but if it goes well, moving to fortnightly), and once we started, we couldn't stop lol.
The second new look TWS is therefore looking like:
2pm to 4pm: The Rock Club
This part of the TWS is rock music only, so expect everyone from Asia to ZZ Top in this part of the show. This week Montrose, Touchstone, Uriah Heep, Stella Wembley, Tedeschi Truck Band, Manic Street Preachers, Beauty in Chaos, Audra, The Dandylions, Face to Face, Him & Her and more.
This part of the show will end with Rebecca Downes Sings
4pm to 6pm: The Zone
At this stage, we hand over to Dee and Lady Black for a mix of features from the library- Leading Ladies (occasionally in the Rock Club this one too), LSO Rocks, Gemsong (also Rock Club), Life The Universe & Everything, Movie Matinee etc, as well as the constants (New Age Lounge, Dimension X & Going to the Darkside) and 2 new features, The Comedy Zone and Pop Zone.
Pop Zone: Christine & The Queens, Ashton Lane, Sky, Waylon Jennings, Duffy, New Order and more.
New Age Lounge- Vangelis, Tranquility and Phil Thornton
Comedy Zone- Round The Horne
Dimension X: The very first Dr Who, played by William Hartnell, in episode two of our weekly serial, Dr Who & Marco Polo. Don't worry if you missed last week (although it is in the Playback section!) as there is a reprise at the start of each episode.
Going to the Darkside: Beyond the Realms of Death by Judas Priest
See you at 2pm on Wednesday the 22nd of Jan 2020, only on REVOLUTIONONE.
