NEW DJ DRIVE, NEW SERIES AND SHOW FORMAT CHANGES ANNOUNCED
NEW PILOT SERIES; TWS, BRS AND SRS TO CHANGE FORMAT AND NEW DJS NEEDED
CFR announces 10/05/2018 that the station is recruiting new DJs to add to both its CFR Rock & CFRXtra channels, and changing the format of several shows, as well as the launch of the new CFR Pilot Series Presents.
The new DJ Drive is under way because the base technology of the station is now robust and can accommodate more live shows. For details on how to sign up, click HERE!
In other news, a new Pilot series has been announced, commencing on May 16th. The concept is simple, we will bring you new show ideas, and you decide whether they go on as a regular show, semi-regular show, or get consigned to the bin! The first pilot is for a late night Jazz show. Click HERE for details.
Finally, several of the shows are announcing new formats. The Wednesday Supplement will from May 24th become even more of a magazine show, with several features dropped and new ones added, an earlier start time (2pm), flexible The Zone durations and a new concepts and ideas interactive discussion feature, "Life, The Universe & Everything!" taking centre stage.
The Baron's Rock Show will also change to a Genre or Theme based from from July 25th, until the end of 2018. So expect one show to be 80s rock, another to be Symphonic Rock, and another to feature songs with a Crime & Punishment theme, and so on.
Finally, Rockin' Robin is changing the format of the SRS soon, but is keeping tightlipped about it!
For information on all these changes, check out the show specific chatroom and/or the News chatroom in our Forum.

CROSSFIRE ROCK GETS DISORDERLY ON TUESDAY NIGHTS
THE DAME OF DISORDER, LOUISE BARNSWORTH, JOINS THE CFR TEAM;
NEW STATION MANAGER, BONNIE FOSTER, ALSO APPOINTED
CFR announces 20/11/2017 that CFR Rock will launch a new show in January 2018 of classic and softer rock. The Dame of Disorder's Delights (the Triple D show) will go out at 7pm til 10pm on Tuesday nights and brings to the station experienced DJ Louise Barnsworth.
The exact date of the launch will be confirmed shortly but is expected to be in January 2018.
Said Louise, "According to the guys and girls at CFR I will fit in just lovely with them. I'm not sure how to take that, but I am very much looking forward to joining the team and playing the kind of rock tunes I've always wanted to play on air, but not really had the opportunity to do so until now."
Said a spokesperson for CFR, "Louise completes our intention to have live shows every night of the week on Crossfire Radio, and her fun persona and musical expertise will liven up an otherwise dull Tuesday evening, musically speaking."
In other news, CFR also announced the appointment of Bonnie Foster as Station Manager, tasked with keeping things smooth running. Promising to instill a new sense of order at the centre of the station, said Miss Foster, "As the station grows ever larger, it was clear that the DJs needed someone to take over the day to day coordination. Unfortunately, I drew the short straw. Unfortunate for them that is."
Ever alert, it has not escaped the notice of the two co-owners of Crossfire Radio, Rocking Robin and Darren the Baron, that they have been well and truly brought into line.
FRIDAY ON MY MIND TAKES A SABBATICAL- Updated 6th May 2018
Sadly, our Friday night show is taking a long sabbatical due to the Captain needing time out for personal reasons that his regular listeners will be aware of. At this time we do not know if the show will be back on the air, but we all send the Captain our best wishes for the future.

CROSSFIRE XTRA GOES 24/7 FROM 16TH SEPTEMBER
DEE JAP LAUNCHES NEW CHANNEL SCHEDULE WITH HER OWN SHOW
CFR announces 05/09/2017 that our sister channel, CFRXtra, will broadcast 24/7 from midday on Saturday 16th of September with a series of 2 hour live shows from the CFR DJ's, including Dee herself, who will host solo for the first time a full show.
CFRXtra has always brought you the best in non-heavy rock, pop and alternate programming, including special anniversary events such as Star Trek Day and the upcoming Prisoner special on the 27th September. Now, we will hand over the day to day playlist to Dee Jap, our sassy AI DJ, to bring you the best soft rock and alternate pop playlist possible, whilst the CFR DJs continue to bring you live shows on CFRXtra such as Drive and the TWS. A New show, Six of the Best hosted by Rockin' Robin will also begin later in the year, and the Doc's Blues Rock Show will move from CFR Rock to CFRXtra, allowing the Doc to play much more old blues and influences on that show.
Shows confirmed for the launch are: Dee's Join The Revolution (12pm), Robin's The Saturday Sermon (2pm), Penny's The Dame's Cocktail ((4pm), Darren's Rock Serenity 2 (6pm) and Doc's Blues Roots (8pm), with Dee then taking over the autoplay at 10pm/

CROSSFIRE RADIO LAUNCHES "JOIN THE REVOLUTION" MERCHANDISE RANGE
DEE JAP LAUNCHES POSTERS, PRINTS & CANVAS SHOP
CFR announces 14/08/2017 that the first of their "JOIN THE REVOLUTION" merchandise is now available for sale. The first branded items, comprising the red CFR crosshairs logo on a black background, with the words "Join The Revolution!" forming part of the designs, initially include blue tooth speakers, mugs, caps, t shirts, key rings and of course the famous THUD CUSHION! More products will be added over the coming weeks.
The range is produced in partnership with Zazzle, who manage the production, warehousing and distribution of the products and who also set the price, leaving CFR with between 2% and 10% margin to invest in the running of the station. However, CFR will be part of daily, weekly and monthly sales run by the company and we will make sure the discount codes (with between 15% and 50% off) are checked and published in the Facebook groups. Zazzle are regarded as producing high quality products that you, the purchaser, can fully customise.

Separately, Dee Jap has launched a series of posters, prints and canvas portraits that can also be fully customised by the buyer in terms of size, finish and styling. Again, we have handed the production and management of this to a third party company who will give CFR between 2% and 10% margin to invest in the station. To see what sassy Dee is putting out there, CLICK HERE.
After all, CFR is a music station, not a warehouse or printer. We want to continue to concentrate on the show, music and sound quality. Money raised from the sale of merchandise means we can keep on air ads off the air!
