Hi everyone, some news about The Cafe! I will be starting, at long last, weekly treatment from the 20th of May for the illness that has blighted me for over 11 years. I have no idea for how long for at this stage, but I am exhausted right now and need to balance between my health, the station and my wealth! With growing demands on my time from my business, as well as increased frustrations (and bills ffs) caused by WIX, Microsoft, BT et al, something has to give. Therefore The Cafe will shift to an adhoc basis for the time being. The next show (43) will be the last in a regular slot- but I'll make it rather special. In the meantime, keep on fusing!

Regular listeners will have realised that the Forum has been broken since the weekend. Sadly this is beyond our control and has been caused, yet again, by WIX themselves. It appears that a roll out of a change in how WIX calculate uploaded video for storage needs has damaged the Forum. Although you can create POSTs with an uploaded image, or add text and a gif from the integrated GIF generator to COMMENTS, you cannot comment with an uploaded image. This problem has not only affected us at RRO, buit globally WIX Forum users from other companies. The problem has been reported (oh trust me, has it ever) but as yet the central development team at WIX are refusing to accept there is a problem. The helpline people at WIX are as frustrated as we are- I've spoken to quite a few the last 3 days! Today the situation has been escalated to senior management at WIX, so we will see. I have also made it clear that, despite always pointing out that every Forum issue follows a WIX update to their web editor or creation settings that we all need to use, that someone now needs to sack the manager of the central development team. The Forum, which RRO co-developed with a specific WIX development team, never had any issues until the central development team took over the running of it. In the meantime, if you want to comment during shows, please use the Facebook promo posts from the DJs. (I never thought I would have to say this, but after 4 days and still not even an official acknowledgement of an issue, I truly despair- I wouldn't care but WIX DOUBLED the hosting price of our website this March!!). I will keep this page updated.
