The theme of this week is 'Girl's Names' - and you will be surprised how many different ones we have found! There will be all the usual features including (for one week only) 4 from Pen's Symphonic album, her Movie and Rock Picks, Doc's Ladies, What's Your Style?, Baron's Blockbusters, Rob's Sizzlers, Office Fairy Tales, All That Jazz-Fusion and (also for one week only) Doc's Song Of The Week. We will have our usual Classical play-out and this week we have Swan Lake (which features the Princess Odette) and Rick Wakeman with Catherine Howard.
There will be plenty of rock tracks from the likes of Blackberry Smoke, Blackstone Cherry, Rolling Stones, The Ramones, Status Quo, Visions of Atlantis, Sonata Arctica, Styx, Marillion and Within Temptation. And plenty of blues, soft rock, pop and jazz -fusion from the likes of Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, Derek & The Dominos, The Hollies, Johnny Cash, Ronnie Greer, The Shuffle Demons, Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Jeff Lorber Fusion and The Soul Jazz Rebels. And in the Chuckle Challenge we have Ronnie Barker and Mike Harding.
Hope you can join us at 2 pm on Thursday, Drivers/Gangsters - we is gonna have a blast with the usual eclectic mix of tunes and loads of great humour.
