I must say all songs are sounding really good tonight, have many on albums that have quite poor production and squashed compressed bass for vinyl. Like hearing them fresh !
my cousin went to a school who had an Eno in her class, a relation apparently. Small wierd world
loved playing the Sweet b sides on the Juke box at the local full of old miners

such a killer riff !, supposedly made up by Bowie.. jury's out on that one !
seen by many as a poor album compared to the brill tunes on 1st album, but I liked it and brought it... still have it !
Nice one Baron, I'm sure the Contessa would approve.

Yo !
Evening all, are you ready for some of those good ol' rock & roll feelings?
Hello and good afternoon Baron,
I hope you are having a good week and that all is well with you mate.
Hello everybody,
I hope you are well.
HAPPY WEDNESDAY FOLKS!!
SEE YOU AT 7PM!!
I think I'm going to make this an Annual Event- first show of every year will be a look at Albums that Turned 50 the previous year!
What a wonderful selection there. At art college, I was into all sorts, and back then we had film studies. I did my college thesis on Aleister Crowley, and asked if the lecturer could get Inaugeration of the Pleasure dome, and perhaps Fireworks by Kenneth Anger, Un chien andalu. He got all of them and some more ! It was the Inaugeration silent film that had this ethereal wonderful music and took a couple of years pre-internet to discover it was Eldorado. sorry babbled on a tad there !
The playlist is in the bag- we're gonna run over by about 30 minutes, but got some epic tracks in there and we'll be starting with a rock anthem from an American POMP rock band that have been around for a LOT longer than you think, as well as a rock & roll anthem from the Brits*!!
See you at 7pm sharp on WEDNESDAY!
(*Now, I wonder who that could be?)
brill sounds like fun
Todd; Tod Rundsgren, Robin Trower; Bridge of Sighs two albums which influenced me a lot. Both 1974 .....scarry to think, and of course UFO; Phenomenon
