With the news last week that the Emerson String Quartet are retiring in 2023 after 47 years performing, I decided we ought to have a show dedicated to some of the best classical music from various Quartets from around the world. So apart from the Emerson Quartet (with Bach) we will have choons from the Amadeus Quartet (with Mozart of course), the Kodaly Quartet (with Haydn), the Juilliard String Quartet (with Beethoven) and the Melos Quartet (with Debussy) amongst others. Plus all 3 movements of Sibelius' Karelia Suite. Plus the Wakeman/Einaudi slot of course.
